Today Tim, Jim and I went to Piers Park located in East Boston to photograph the Volvo Ocean Race. These boats left Boston today for Ireland. It was fun to watch the sail boats. They were huge. The fog was pretty bad today in Boston.

After last weeks near miss of the Carp (see video post from last week), Chris and I were determined to reel in one this week. We were armed with wonder bread, canned corn, and corn on the cob. I thought about making myself a corn sandwich.We struck out. Carp and otter up 2-0.

This River Otter (or is this a beaver) swam around our boat several times taunting Chris and his attempts at catching a Carp.
It was a great site to see. Im not sure if the splashing is for fun or to scare us away. Chris made like the texas chain saw massacre dude and stood up with his oar and shook it around like a chain saw. This action seemed to work...a little bit :)

Today, My brother-in-laws and I had a great time on the Concord River.
The weather was great. The fish did not cooperate though. And, the bugs especially in the early am were pretty nasty. I was able to take a few shots including some birds. Check out our video of us trying to catch a Carp. Its quite comical but is rated R for language. :)

Edit: Chris not only got a keeper but I did with the photograph of it. I submitted the fisheye picture to an international photo competition in Rhode Island and it scored a 14/15. :)

We fished the harbor this past Sunday.

This is my niece Sydney.
