The two kids wanted to take some pictures modelled after the Saturday night live (SNL) skit.."Dick in the Box". This is the result of the photoshoot.

Well, we just got back from the University of Vermont homecoming.
It rained a bit. But, we all had a good time.
We caught a hockey game and got to see Andy sing.
Andy is the second person singing.

I haven't added to this blog lately. So, its about time.
Captain Chris and I had a great day on the Boston Harbor today.

This picture was taken in Burlington, Vermont.
College orientation weekend.
I didnt have my flash but the streetlight was shining nicely on the brick wall with the grafitti.
Knowing the picture would be somewhat boring by itself, I asked Christine to pose.
I knew this would be a one shot attempt because she doesnt like this kind of stuff too much.

Baseball season is almost over.
Here is my favorite from last game.

Mystic Valley won the first of a double header and lost the second.
Andy pitched the 2nd game and was a little wild.. One batter had to go to the hospital with a bleeding face. Andy also baulked. He was pulled in the 5th.

Today we went on a photography field trip to the framingham botanical garden in the woods. We took a break for lunch and never returned.
There was an antique car show just starting in the parking lot. We spent 2+ hours photographing. Lots of fun.

I entered this photo in an upcoming photo
contest for "Butts".

I made the clock entirely in
photoshop.

I entered it into a photo contest
for clocks. I didnt have a clock...
so I made one from scratch :)

Motion created in photoshop.
I masked out the animal and applied a motion blurr to the background.
Originally, i masked out the shadow as well..but it did not look real and had to subsequently blurr the shadow.

Interested in setting up a photography website or just any website.

I entered this swan photo for the next digital photo competition.

The background sky was extracted in photoshop via channels/levels method described in Scott Kelby's channels book and described also by others on the web.

The sky was added as well as the stars and moon.

Heres a masking tutorial by Colin smith. Havent tried his method yet.

Hawk. Photo taken at the Museum of Science. Live animal show. The museum allows you to take pictures after the show.

This hawk is 2 years old, can't fly, and was given to the museum of science because of a broken wing.

The background was extracted as described above with the channels/levels method.
The blue background was added afterwards. I created the background using a gradient of light blue to dark blue.
